You need to complete an online application form and satisfy the following requirements to be considered for entry to this course.
International students must:
- Must be 18 years or older at course commencement.
- Provide English language skills either by:
- IELTS (Academic) overall band score of 6.0 (No less than 5.5 in each module); or
Any one of the following:- The student was educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country.
- The student has completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO.
- The student has successfully completed Upper Intermediate (General English) or higher certificate from a CRICOS registered English language training provider.
*Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
Other Requirements
TasCollege conducts the LLN test using LLN Robot during the orientation to assess the students’ support requirements during their course.
TasCollege will employ a range of assessment methods that are fair, valid, reliable and reasonable while ensuring they meet the requirements of the relevant Training Package and the rules of evidence.
Assessments for this course have been designed for classroom-based face-to-face face delivery and assessment. Assessments will include a range of assessment tasks such as written, practical, project, case study and observation tasks, undertaken at prescribed assessment schedules.
Work-based learning will be carried out in collaboration with one of the industry providers that TasCollege has a partnership agreement with.
