Methods of Assessment

TasCollege will employ a range of assessment methods that are fair, valid, reliable and reasonable while ensuring they meet the requirements of the relevant Training Package and the rules of evidence.

Assessments for this course have been designed for classroom-based face-to-face face delivery and assessment. Assessments will include a range of assessment tasks such as:

Admission Requirement

  • Must be 18 years or older at course commencement.
  • Satisfactory completion of Australian AQF Level 6 or higher (for International Students – satisfactory completion of a three (3) year bachelor’s degree).
  • Provide English language skills either by:
    • Evidence of English tests, e.g., IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
    • Minimum of two (2) years study at an AQF level 4 or higher completed in Australia
    • Senior secondary certificate of Education completed in Australia.

A pre-enrolment assessment will be conducted to determine your current competency, LLN Skills, and/or vocational experience, as well as your expectations from this course, and to identify any support you may need.

Recognition of Prior Learning

TasCollege offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit Transfer (CT) to students through the enrolment process. Please complete the credit transfer request form for consideration.

Application and Enrolment Process:

  • Complete student application form and provide required documents

  • TasCollege will assess your application and conduct an initial skills assessment

  • If approved, offer letter with a student agreement will be issued

  • Sign and acknowledge the terms and return the student agreement to TasCollege

  • Pay your tuition fees as per the agreed schedule on the agreement

  • Once payment is received, TasCollege will issue you a Confirmation of Enrolment

  • Attend orientation to officially commence your course.
